On CAT40 or BT40 spindle, you're expecting half thousands overall runout with these collets and collet holder. So collets alone is about 3 tenth, then you add chuck run out 1 or 2 tenth, it comes up about half thousands or 5 tenth, so choose correct tooling for correct application.

All chucks are passed hardness and anti crack test. Low strength steel could lead crack and rust very soon, especially by the inside pocket area, accuracy will drop too after a little while, so make sure avoid those bad steel and unbalanced chucks. All sellers claim 20K balance and good steel, but yes or no, time will tell. Copy paste my item description is easy, but really make chuck running true and last is difficult.
