Do not use with large lathes, car tire balancer, large flywheels, blowers, plasma cutters, refrigeration trucks, CNC machines, pumps, fans, air compressors, heaters, two speed motors, welders, anything with a motor that spins at less than 1450 RPM's. Because then the Red Start light will never turn off then the converter will get damaged and the motor will burn up. Also, do not oversize the converter, for example if you have a 4HP motor a 3-5HP converter is enough, do not use an 8HP converter as this will not provide extra power and can actually damage your motor and the converter. New single to three phase converter / starter / dephaser.

Specifications: 3-5 HP, 208-250 VAC, 60/50HZ. Features: 1 Improved with a heavy duty, v ibration and shock resistant, unique in the industry, patented, electronic start PCB providing more reliable electrical connections and thermally connected via heat-sink compound to the power resistors (picture 7) to channel heat away from the resistors extending their life, reliability and performance. The Copper traces on the PCBoard are double sided (top and bottom layers) and extra wide to easily handle current demands.

2 Calibrated capacitor for smoother starts & longer life. 3 Reinforced with a Start Power relay that extends the life of the sensing relay unlike those enclosed units that don't show the insides. 4 POWER and START indicators (turn off if not in use to extend life and save energy).

5 Easy connection, two phases go in to L1 and L2 and three wires come out to the motor. Connect power ground and motor ground outside the unit, use green wire nut (picture 2 & 3). If rotation is not correct, cut power, reverse L1 and L2 and retest. 6 Easy mounting with the top and bottom exterior tabs to the side of the machine or on a wall. 7 72 hour automated "BURN IN" testing on all units before packing. 8 Instructions conveniently affixed to inside cover. 9 5 crimp terminals included with each unit.

10 Sealed unit with a rubber gasket to prevent entrance of occasional liquids sprayed or spilled on the unit (picture 6). Electrical connections and indicators are located on the bottom also to prevent entrance of liquids into the unit.

One of our converters required for each motor you have. Under no circumstances can one of our converters be connected to start more than one motor. These units do not produce 3 phases from 2 phases continuously to drive a three phase motor, they work by delivering a temporary third phase during startup only and once the motor gets going it disappears. Then the motor works single phase which is why it produces only 2/3 of the power on the motor name plate. Not intended for use with air compressors or hydraulic pumps. Built in the USA in a sealed non conductive, shock resistant ABS plastic enclosure to keep out solvents, cutting fluid and other liquids that can accidentally or occasionally get sprayed on it to prevent fires or electrical shock (be safe and install it as far away from liquids as possible, many things influence fires and electrical shock including vapors and the high voltage present inside and out the unit).

The components' color, size and their placement in the actual unit you receive may differ a bit from the pictures in the posting, this is because we are always improving the product and you will receive the newest revision unit produced but sometimes it takes us a while to update the pictures, but rest assured that what you get is newer and better.
